eSafety
We take eSafety very seriously at Endon High School.
We have systems in place to protect our pupils from the potential risks & dangers of using the Internet and electronic forms of communication.
Our ICT Department deliver lessons throughout the year which identify & discuss eSafety concerns and advise our pupils how to stay safe.
To ensure that we can offer the best protection for our pupils, an eSafety group meet regularly to discuss eSafety issues and latest trends that we feel we may need to make our pupils aware of. We have also established a pupil group of eSafety Ambassadors who frequently attend meetings to give a pupil perspective of possible issues and any areas of concerns that they feel staff should investigate. We also have a dedicated area within our school VLE ( Firefly) where pupils, and parents are offered a range of resources to help them staying safe online and helping their children stay safe using the different forms of electronic media.
All Endon High School staff receive suitable eSafety training to advise our pupils of the official routes to take should they have an eSafety concern such as the CEOP website. We also operate an internal reporting system called NetSafe which allows pupils to report concerns to designated Safeguarding members of staff. We have buddies who are actively encouraged to discuss and assist pupils using the reporting system.
